Hand-built by Northern Rivers ceramic artists Mitch and Rebekah Parry of Pazzalotti, the Ruffia Sconces bring a playful, sculptural presence to the wall.

Generously scaled and finished in a textured white glaze, each sconce features a curved form with expressive ruffled edges and intricate hand-worked detailing. The pale finish accentuates the folds and irregularities of the ceramic surface, allowing light and shadow to bring the sculptural form to life.

DESIGN NOTES
Working from their Northern Rivers studio, husband-and-wife duo Mitch and Rebekah Parry create sculptural ceramics through an intuitive process of experimentation and play.

Each piece is hand-built using layered clay forms, shaped, squeezed, scratched and dragged into place. Their approach is conversational, with ideas developing through making rather than following a fixed design. Subtle irregularities and the marks of the hand are embraced, allowing each piece to retain its individuality.

Richly layered glazes and unexpected forms bring a sense of movement and spontaneity to the finished work. No two pieces are alike.
