Refunds and Exchanges

Tigmi does not refund for change of mind, so please ensure that you select your items carefully. Tigmi does offer store credit or exchange only on ‘stock on hand’ products that are full priced. Tigmi does not offer store credit on items that have been made to order specially for you.

‘Stock on hand’ includes purchases from Tigmi online or instore and must be returned within 14 days after receiving. To return your item it must be unused and returned in its original condition and packaging, or equivalent suitable packaging.

Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer and Tigmi take no responsibility for missing incoming deliveries of a return. Tigmi encourage you to return your item/s via registered or traceable postal services, with insurance, as return parcels remain the liability of the customer until received by Tigmi. Tigmi reserve the right to refuse a return or exchange if the item has been returned in a way that does not meet our standards as stipulated. You will be responsible to organise and pay for the collection and or postage for the refused item, to be returned back to your nominated address.

Items purchased by the customer and held by Tigmi at the request of the customer for the duration of the 14 day return period will not be eligible for credit, exchange or refund.

Any holding deposits or lay-by agreements are deemed final.

Please kindly note that all sales on ‘made to order’ items, ‘custom’ items, earrings, and on-sale items are deemed final.

MADE TO ORDER / CUSTOM

Please choose carefully as Tigmi do not accept returns or exchange on ‘made to order’ or ‘custom order’ items. By definition; Tigmi consider an item to be ‘made to order’ or ‘custom order’ if the item is not stock on hand and has been ordered specially, for you, from a supplier.

SALE ITEMS

All sale items are final sale in which Tigmi do not offer refunds or exchanges unless the item is deemed incorrect or faulty. By definition a sale item is any item that has been purchased with a discount applied to the full price.

EARRINGS

Due to hygiene Tigmi cannot accept returns on earrings.

How to process your return

To start a return, you can contact us at hello@tigmitrading.com. Once your return is approved you will receive a return authorisation from Tigmi. This will include the return address and Tigmi will include instructions on how to send your package.

Items sent back to us without a return authorisation, will not be accepted. You will then be responsible to organise and pay for the collection and or postage for the unauthorised item, to be returned back to your nominated address.

Returning your item

Your item must be returned in its original packaging or suitable alternative to ensure it is packed suitably for transport. It must be returned by the same method it was sent. For example, if you received it via a white glove service, it must be returned via a white glove service. If the item being returned is damaged in transit, it will be the responsibility of the customer and the damaged item must be collected by the customer from Tigmi.

Damaged / faulty items

All items are quality controlled by our team prior to dispatch, however in the unlikely event that your item arrives damaged, defective or faulty please contact us immediately within 48 hours so that Tigmi can evaluate the issue straight away.

Please email the team at hello@tigmitrading.com and provide photographic evidence of the item and the packaging so that Tigmi can review. Tigmi may request further images and information for assessment. 

Faulty items do not have to be returned in the original packaging but must be packaged appropriately to avoid damage during the return shipping process.

Once an assessment has been made, Tigmi will work to replace, repair or refund the order, on a case by case basis to be decided by Tigmi. Any return shipping costs will be covered by Tigmi for the return of the faulty or damaged item.

Processing time for returns

Please allow up to five (5) business days for your return to be checked and processed by our team. You will receive an email from our team once your return has been processed with the outcome.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Colour discrepancy

Tigmi take expert care in ensuring that our items are photographed and conveyed as true to life as possible. Each piece may very slightly in colour depending on the lighting in which they are placed in.

Tigmi are not responsible for the differences in monitor displays which will also impact colour perception. Tigmi encourage you to request additional imagery prior to ordering so that you can be confident with your purchase should you have any ambivalence regarding the colouring of an item. Returns cannot be requested based on colour discrepancy between website images and actual products.

Rug Sizes

Tigmi take extra care to measure each rug as accurately as humanly possible however due to the handmade nature of our rugs, there may be up to a 5% tolerance from the size indicated online which Tigmi deem to be acceptable.  Therefore Tigmi would not warrant a less than 5% tolerance in size as a reason for a return.

Vintage, Antique and Second-hand

Tigmi celebrate the beauty, unique nature and history of items sourced for our showroom and customer projects. Due to the second-hand nature of these items, it is reasonable to expect that they have already received some Tigmi wear and tear from regular use and may have some minor imperfections. These imperfections will be made known to you by our team members or be visible to view on our Tigmi website. If you choose to purchase any of these items from us, you acknowledge and agree that you are aware of these imperfections and that you are unable to return and receive a refund, credit note, replacement or repair from a change of mind.

Given the nature of vintage and second-hand items, Tigmi recommend that you carefully preview any items before proceeding with your order. Any Tigmi wear and tear and minor imperfections visible on our vintage and second-hand items will not be deemed a defect or fault. Tigmi encourage you to request additional imagery prior to ordering so that you can be confident with your purchase.

Handmade

Due to the handmade nature of many of our products, some items may differ from the images being that each piece is one of a kind. There may be additional markings that are part of the hand made production process that we deem as acceptable through our rigorous quality control processes. We encourage you to carefully read each product description and should you have any questions regarding the handmade quality, to get in touch with us prior to purchase.
