Refunds & Exchanges
We want you to feel confident with your considered purchase. Please note: we are unable to offer refunds for change of mind. You are welcome to request an exchange or a credit note within 7 days of receiving your purchase. Please contact us within this timeframe so we can honour this policy. If we are storing your pieces, then the 7 days will apply from the time of purchase.
All purchases on sale items are considered final. We do not offer refunds, exchanges or credit notes on sale/discounted or made to order pieces.
Returns
How to process your return
Simply contact us at sales@tigmitrading.com or by phone +61266943073 within 7 days of receipt. Returned products must be unused and in their original packaging. Any items not returned in their original condition and/or packaging will incur an additional handling fee, which will be deducted from your credit.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all change-of-mind returns are packed safely for transit. Original packaging is required for any exchange or store credit.
Our Customer Service team is here to assist and can recommend the most reliable couriers for your return. Please note, we cannot take responsibility for goods lost or damaged in transit. If a returned item arrives damaged, a credit will not be issued.
Once we receive your return, your merchandise will be inspected and your credit note issued within 7 business days.
Damaged / faulty items
Our pieces are made by hand by artisan communities locally and globally. The beauty of this handcrafted nature is that every piece is unique. Please embrace small variations as distinctive characteristics to be cherished and celebrated.
Important: Shipping damage claims must be filed within 24 hours
If your item arrives damaged, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery using the form below. We’ll need:
- A clear description of the damage
- Images of the damage
- Images of the packaging
- A clear image of the shipping label
This must be reported within 24 hours of receipt. If the item is faulty and you no longer have the original packaging, please contact our team to discuss your options. Note: Natural variations of a piece will not qualify for a refund.
Vintage Pieces
Our vintage pieces have lived a previous life, and signs of age and use are to be expected and embraced as part of their character and story. These details are not considered faults but rather a testament to the uniqueness and authenticity of the piece.
Once your Tigmi order has been received, you become fully responsible for any actions or outcomes associated with the product(s).
International Returns
Due to the high carbon footprint of processing international returns, we are unable to accept the return of items purchased and shipped internationally. If an item arrives broken or the incorrect item is received, please contact us at hello@tigmitrading.com and we’ll be happy to help provide a refund for the item or arrange for a replacement.
Made to order / custom items
Our team work closely with you at every step of the process for our made to order and customised pieces, ensuring the end product meets your expectations. We cannot accept changes, cancellations or refunds on these items.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Australia and are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian courts.

What is the condition of your vintage products?
We celebrate the beauty, unique nature and history of each vintage and antique item we source. It is reasonable to expect these items bear the signs of use consistent with their age and provenience, with minor imperfections, marks and patina. While we thoroughly check over, and restore these items if necessary, please note that all vintage items are sold ‘as is’. We are more than happy to provide additional images and information to ensure a confident purchase journey.
Why does my handmade item look different from the item on website?
Many of our items are handmade in small batches and may differ from the images depicted. Due to the handmade nature of our rugs, there may be up to a 5% tolerance from the size indicated online. If you would like to choose an exact piece/dimension from any of our handmade collections, get in touch with us to assist.
How accurate is the colour of your product images?
We take expert care in ensuring that our items are photographed and conveyed as true to life as possible. Each piece may vary slightly in colour depending on the light in which they are place in. Should you have any ambivalence regarding the colouring of an item, please reach out to our team who are more than happy to provide additional imagery to ensure your confidence in your purchase.
