A large portion of our rugs are unique one-off vintage items and as such were woven for personal use so wear and signs of usage must be expected. We believe that this wear and imperfections add to the beauty, character and story of the piece!
We will endeavour to provide all the information we can about condition of the rug so you know exactly what you are getting. However we want you to be delighted with your purchase, so if you are not completely happy, you may return it to us within 14 days of purchase- provided that it is returned in its original condition.
In order to return an item, please contact us by email: email@example.com within seven days of your purchase. We are unable to refund any shipping fees incurred for returned items.
Whilst we ensure all our pieces arrive in excellent condition, many of our products are one off vintage carpets and small signs of wear are to be expected.
For good maintenance of the carpet it is advisable to vacuum regularly. In the case of a stain it is best to try and remove it with a moist towel of warm water immediately instead of letting the stain dry. Lift as much as possible without rubbing. Always check for colour fastness prior. Wool is also self-cleaning and if you have the possibility to hang or lay the carpet out in a fresh breeze occasionally, odors will disappear.
Professional cleaning should only be done ‘off-site' - avoid ‘in-house' services. We advise for a proper clean to consult a trained professional in a controlled environment.
It is important to rotate your rug 180 degrees every 1-2 years to ensure an even wear.
Vacuuming & or shaking out the rug regularly slows down the ageing process.
Rugs can shed a bit of fluff, which is just excess fibres that were not properly incorporated into the yarn during spinning. This is normal, and is not a sign that your rug is falling apart! It is best to vacuum a rug often at first - after some time the fluffing will lessen and eventually cease.
