Frequently Asked Questions
What should I consider when buying furniture online?
Start with scale. Check the overall dimensions of the piece against both the room and the furniture around it, and consider how you’ll move through the space once it’s in place. Materials, construction and how the piece will be used day to day are equally important. We provide detailed dimensions and product information on each product page, and our team can help if you’d like advice before purchasing.
How do I know if a piece of furniture will fit in my space?
Check the product dimensions against the available floor area and allow enough room to comfortably move around the piece. We also recommend considering its visual scale — height, depth and proportion can have as much impact as width. If you’re unsure, our team can help you assess a piece before purchasing.
Will my furniture fit through my doorway or access?
Before purchasing larger furniture, measure doorways, hallways, stairwells, lifts and any tight access points the piece will need to pass through. Compare these measurements with the product dimensions, paying particular attention to width, depth and height. If access is particularly tight, contact our team before ordering and we can help assess the piece and delivery requirements.
How do I care for my furniture?
Care will depend on the material and finish of the individual piece. As a general rule, avoid harsh cleaning products, attend to spills promptly and protect natural materials from prolonged moisture, heat and direct sunlight where appropriate. Refer to the individual product information or our care advice for more specific guidance.
How much does delivery cost?
Delivery costs vary depending on the size of your order and your location. Larger furniture and oversized pieces are delivered by specialist furniture removalists, with delivery calculated based on the item and destination. If you’d like a delivery estimate before purchasing, contact our team.
What size rug should I use under a dining table?
Choose a rug large enough for dining chairs to remain on the rug when pulled away from the table. As a guide, allow approximately 60–70cm beyond each edge of the table to give chairs room to move comfortably.
