A sculptural ceramic vessel by Northern Rivers artists Mitch and Rebekah Parry of Pazzalotti. Its rounded, amphora-inspired form features a narrow foot, short neck and irregular, heavily textured rim.

Finished in a deep cobalt blue glaze, the surface is built up with expressive marks, raised details and glossy layers that catch the light. Rich in colour and texture, Nox has a strong sculptural presence.

DESIGN NOTES
Working from their Northern Rivers studio, husband-and-wife duo Mitch and Rebekah Parry create sculptural ceramics through an intuitive process of experimentation and play.

Each vessel is hand-built using layered clay forms, shaped, squeezed, scratched and dragged into place. Their approach is conversational, with ideas developing through making rather than following a fixed design. Subtle irregularities and the marks of the hand are embraced, allowing each piece to retain its individuality.

Richly layered glazes and unexpected forms bring a sense of movement and spontaneity to the finished work. No two pieces are alike.
