Deep maroon swirls move across a dusty rose and terracotta glaze, with dark speckling and variations in the surface. Its compact proportions give the piece a playful, sculptural quality.

DESIGN NOTES
Sydney-based ceramicist Kelly Brown works from Kil.n.it studio, creating handmade vessels inspired by ancient ceramic forms. After a career spanning music, advertising and law, Kelly turned to ceramics, developing a particular interest in large urns and the possibilities of traditional vessel shapes.

At Tigmi, we value the individuality of objects made by hand. Kelly's ceramics capture much of what draws us to this way of making: an instinctive use of colour, a willingness to experiment and a respect for the irregularities that give each piece its character.
