1980s Belgian Architect Coffee Table
Belgium, 1980s.
Custom designed by a Belgian architect for a private residence, this one-of-a-kind coffee table was conceived as a bespoke architectural statement rather than a commercial production piece.
A substantial square timber top is elevated on four cylindrical aluminium legs, creating a composition that feels both grounded and sculptural. The contrast between the warmth of the wood and the industrial character of the metal reflects the enduring design language of late twentieth-century European modernism.
Bold in scale yet restrained in form, the table carries a strong architectural presence and works beautifully as a centrepiece within both contemporary and vintage interiors.
In good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear and patina to the timber top.
