THE ART OF CONNECTION

The Art of Connection

There is a distinct magic to Copenhagen. To experience it for the first time is to be completely enveloped by a city that breathes design - where culture, community, and culinary art are bound by a shared reverence for beauty, simplicity, and intention. For us, our maiden immersion into 3 Days of Design didn't just meet expectations; it entirely redefined them.

A Living Canvas

Beyond the extraordinary showcase of global design, Copenhagen captured our hearts through its lifestyle. We found deep inspiration outside the exhibition walls, losing ourselves in the city's breathtaking architecture and drawing endless inspiration from its incredible galleries and museums. We wandered through the sun-drenched indoor atrium of the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek and explored the storied, historic halls of the Thorvaldsens Museum.

Long, light-filled days transitioned into unforgettable culinary experiences, from a lively dinner at Bar Vitrine to a beautiful long lunch at Bottega Barlie with our dear friends at Cappelen Dimyr. We capped off our journey with a transformative afternoon at the iconic Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, an absolute highlight of the trip and well worth the 40-minute train ride out of the city to experience exquisite artworks in a captivating setting that looked out over the water to Sweden.

The Exhibition Highlights

As for the festival itself, we walked miles and took in countless curation spaces across the three days. A major highlight was the wonderful Latitude exhibition, a flawless showcase of some of Australia’s top talent curated by Claire Delmar. It drew a fantastic crowd of fellow Aussies whose vibrant, energetic presence could truly be felt everywhere around the city.

We also had the privilege of attending an intimate afternoon and evening with the visionary Kelly Wearstler in conversation with Nic Monisse, the Design Editor of Monocle (another talented Aussie), discussing her latest brilliant collaboration with our brand partners, Serax.

The inspiration continued as we explored the deeply curated, soulful world of Dusty Deco’s incredible apartment showroom and experienced Kilzi’s brilliant, amorphous lighting exhibition brought to life at Bar Amore. We are absolutely thrilled to be bringing pieces from this epic collection to Tigmi this coming September. Finally, rounding out our favorite moments was immersing ourselves in the innovative spaces of Denmark's cool crew at FramaThe Other Circle, and Tekla.

In three days, we barely scratched the surface of what this incredible city has to offer. We return with full hearts, inspired minds and a renewed passion for the beautiful pieces and the people behind them.
