Tête-à-tête
A Home, Revisited: Georgia Fowler
Tigmi Design Studio worked with Georgia Fowler to shape her Sydney home as a considered study in tonal restraint, layered texture, and an earthy palette that balances refinement with ease.
Within this framework, pattern and materiality were explored in a way that feels both playful and grounded, bringing depth and character to spaces designed as much for everyday family life as they are for visual harmony. Custom pieces, vintage finds, and curated furnishings come together in a cohesive language that feels warm, collected and deeply personal.
From the outset, the home was envisioned to evolve naturally alongside the rhythms of daily living. Returning to it now, the spaces feel more settled into themselves, shaped gently by time, routine and use, while still holding true to the original design vision.
In conversation with Georgia, we explore the objects she gravitates toward most, the rituals that shape her days, and the details that continue to bring a sense of meaning and comfort to the home.
Favourite corner right now:
I will always plonk myself in the corner setting of my Nara Sofa coffee in hand. My sliding French doors are always open and the sun streams through in the mornings. It’s framed by a large Tigmi planter which houses tall branches and pulls the outdoors in.
Quiet moments at home:
I have an incredible balancing Tigmi sourced sun lounger placed around our plunge pool that I’m obsessed with. It’s a sleek and simple piece of mid century design, and when you lounge back your feet seem top levitate into a hover. Pair this feeling with sun on your skin is like entering dream state.
Piece you can’t stop reaching for:
Whenever the weather allows, I’m feeding the family outside on the patio seated on my Soleil chairs. Eating outdoors around our round table makes meal times feel festive, includes the whole family, and it certainly helps that I can just hose down the little people mess ha!

Tigmi wishlist:
Well there’s not much Tigmi has that I’m not completely obsessed with. I have a thing for lamps- of course. Id love to add some more incredible floor lamps into the living space, there’s a vintage 1920s Iron and Jute lamp that would fit in perfectly. Or the Studio Haos lamp (if budget ever allowed ha- consider it art). We also have a lot of blank walls I’d love to fill with some of Tigmis curated art. I’m big into texture so really liking Daimon Downey’s almost 3D brutalist works, and for larger pieces Robert Stewarts prints are a fun Abstract option.

Your interiors in three words:
Relaxed, Textured, and Layered. Hard to narrow it down, but I love mixing collected vintage pieces, with newer more modern styles. The juxtaposition of some shine, metal elements with woods, velvets and tapestry sings to me. I love a little colour, but more in a paired back way, think colours you’ll find in nature. I hope to continue to find pieces that we can really live with, that aren’t fussy or precious but show personality and have a little quirk.

Perfect Sydney day:
I love to start the morning off with a coffee on the couch-if I’m lucky before the kids wake up. I then try to get us all outdoors for a walk along the water. Breakfast outside, or at Bills or a cafe nearby. Hopefully a dip in the pool with the kids, followed by a lazy afternoon nap. A trip to the beach for another swim, this time salt water. And hopefully some friends over for an early dinner with the chaos of kids running around. And a 9pm bedtime!
One thing that makes your home feel like you:
Music blasts from our home as soon as we’re all awake. Could be old jazz, or my very cheesy Karaoke playlist. It starts our day with a sense of calm, togetherness and dancing no matter where in the world we are.
