Louis 01 Wall Lamp - Beige
Designed by Anita Le Grelle for Serax, the Louis 01 Wall Lamp is formed from individual strips of clay, giving its simple geometric form a distinctly handmade character.
Each piece is finished by hand, leaving subtle variations in the surface, colour and texture of the ceramic. When illuminated, light is cast both above and below the fitting, grazing the uneven surface of the clay and bringing its texture into greater relief.
Compact in scale but sculptural in form, Louis works particularly well where the effect of the light itself is as important as the fitting - beside a bed, lining a hallway or bringing a softer layer of light to a living space.
ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Belgian designer and artist Anita Le Grelle has worked with Serax for more than a decade, bringing her background in sculpture to a collection of ceramics defined by material, form and the visible hand of the maker.
