1950s French Rope Coffee Table by Adrien Audoux and Frida Minet
Designed by French duo Adrien Audoux and Frida Minet in the 1950s, this coffee table pairs a simple timber frame with a handwoven rope top, materials characteristic of the designers’ work during this period.
The open weave brings texture and detail to the pared-back construction, while the timber has developed a warm patina with age. Low and elongated in proportion, it has a relaxed presence that works particularly well in front of a sofa or alongside lower lounge seating.
An original mid-century piece with visible signs of age and use consistent with its vintage condition.
