1950s French Brutalist Oak Coffee Table
France, 1950s.
A rare and unique extra large brutalist coffee table in solid oak top featuring a hand carved centre panel with wrought iron legs in the style of Noll - Marolles, 1950’s. The richly grained timber contrasts beautifully against the forged iron legs, giving the piece a grounded architectural presence while maintaining a sense of lightness.
The pebble-like carved detailing introduces depth and tactility, characteristic of mid-century French Brutalist design. Subtle irregularities and handcrafted elements enhance its sculptural quality, making it as much an art piece as a functional table.
Good vintage condition with age-related wear and patina consistent with its era.
