A wide, open rim is framed by raised, irregular markings and sculptural impressions, while the textured body gives the piece a tactile, organic character. Its bright glaze settles into the surface details, highlighting the marks of its making.

DESIGN NOTES
Working from their Northern Rivers studio, husband-and-wife duo Mitch and Rebekah Parry create sculptural ceramics through an intuitive process of experimentation and play.

Each vessel is hand-built using layered clay forms, shaped, squeezed, scratched and dragged into place. Their approach is conversational, with ideas developing through making rather than following a fixed design. Subtle irregularities and the marks of the hand are embraced, allowing each piece to retain its individuality.

Richly layered glazes and unexpected forms bring a sense of movement and spontaneity to the finished work. No two pieces are alike.
