The Soft Pinch small knob is the first design in EVAANNA's 'Pinch Collection', with its graceful utility this knob adds refinement to your home. Because of its asymmetrical nature it looks great being used repetitively, but you can mix it with the other small knobs of the collection for an even more original look.
These objects are designed to be comfortable to touch; with their soft shape they fit perfectly in your grip. Made of solid brass or bronze which will serve you for a lifetime with a living finish, meaning that as the product ages, it will naturally develop a darker colour due to oxidation and create a beautiful patina.
The design process begins by making models in clay, shaped by the maker's hands. The clay models are then sand cast in solid brass or bronze. This technique, where molten metal is poured into a sand mould, dates back thousands of years. After casting, the objects are sanded and polished by hand, leaving the grains of sand and the air bubbles visible in the finished piece. Each object is then drilled and punched by hand, a time-consuming and complex process that embraces traditional techniques.
