Marsala Leather Armchair with Ottoman
France, 1970s.
The Marsala lounge chair, designed by Michel Ducaroy for French maker Ligne Roset. Characterised by its low, modular profile, the chair features a moulded base that cradles generous cushions in it's original black leather upholstery and paired with it's matching ottoman. Both sculptural and deeply comfortable, the Marsala embodies Ducaroy’s pioneering vision for relaxed, contemporary living and remains an enduring icon of 1970s French design.
The leather has been treated and shows natural creasing and age-related wear, consistent with the piece’s vintage nature and contributing to its character. A considered and comfortable statement piece, suited to mid-century modern interiors.
