DESIGNED IN COLLABORATION

ORJOLA by Tigmi x Nice Projects

A collaboration between London/Sydney-based design studio Nice Projects and Tigmi, the Orjola collection reimagines Persian rug weaving as a painter’s canvas. Drawing inspiration from the minimalist and profound works of Agnes Martin, the collection features delicate grid patterns rendered in soft, muted tones of Russet, Cornsilk, and Parchment.

Crafted from the finest New Zealand wool with a luxurious 100-knot count, each rug has been handwoven by skilled artisans in Nepal, who have intricately translated the design from canvas to carpet.

The Making of Orjola

Behind the design of the Orjola Collection. A unique collaboration between sisters and designers Simone McEwan of Nice Projects and Danielle McEwan of Tigmi.

"I loved the process of working with my sister on this project, it was incredibly special to spend time with her on a shared vision and am so proud to have the opportunity to work with her and Sacha on creating this beautiful collection. Orjola shall forever be a permanenet ode to our connection and one that represents a meeting of our shared love and passion for design." -
