Team Tigmi's list of things guaranteed to uplift
“We rise by lifting others.” ~Robert Ingersoll
In a time when the 24 hour news cycle is a constant reminder that the world as we know it has changed, we’ve taken to collating a list designed to uplift. From simple snacks to positive stories from people around the globe who are learning to adapt just as we are; to a playlist of our fav feel good songs – we experienced so much joy in sharing this among ourselves and we hope you can find some too.
5 THINGS GUARANTEED TO MAKE YOU SMILE
- Pub Choir’s ‘Couch Choir’… With pubs closed across the country, they had to adapt their model to social isolation - nothing quite like harmonising to get me in the feels and I'm signing up for the next one! - Kaitlin
- This photo series! A Photographer's Parents Wave Farewell - Rose
- Houseparty App - This week I am so grateful for this app which enables you to link in and FaceTime with a group of friends - be it 2 people or a group of 8. I’ve been able to chat with my beautiful girlfriends from Melbourne - together we've laughed, caught up on everything happening in our lives, and even enjoyed a wine together! We got much needed giggle and it was just as good as hanging out in the same room (if not better; most of us have been chatting from bed) - Kim
- One thing that made me laugh was Joe Tracini, I mean can all learn the beef toe?! - Izzy
- I’m loving all the hilarious memes - working from home memes and home schooling are so relatable in this incredibly bizarre time it’s nice to have some belly laughing humour - ‘cause if you can’t laugh….. - Danielle
FREE RESOURCES FROM LEGENDS AROUND THE GLOBE KEEPING US SANE

RANCH DRESSING
A dressing can transform a meal from bland to grand. Not only for salads, but in these current times where we are being especially conscious of our food and making the most of our leftovers - be it roasted veggies, chicken, or even lettuce and herbs picked from the garden.... this dressing drizzled all over will reinvigorate the food to another level. My mum has been making this recipe since I was in primary school. It’s a crowd fav. - xx Kim
Ingredients
2 egg yolks
2 table spoons of white wine vinegar
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
2 teaspoons of French mustard
2 teaspoons of raw sugar
1 teaspoon of ground black pepper corns
1 stalk of spring onion, finely chopped
1 teaspoon of lemon juice
1 cup (250ml) vegetable oil
1/2 cup (125ml) buttermilk

NORI POPCORN / PAPRIKA POPCORN
Because snacks are crucial at a time like this and popcorn is my ultimate snack of snacks. - Rose
Ingredients:
1-2 tbsp of coconut oil
1/4 cup of popcorn kernels
pinch of sea salt
METHOD:
- Heat coconut oil in a pot with a lid
- When oil is hot add in the kernels and place the lid on the pot on
- Wait for the popcorn to start popping vigorously and turn the heat down to a low flame
- When popping starts to lessen turn the flame off and allow the pot to sit for at least another couple of minutes
- Throw in a bowl and add your fav toppings. At the moment my fav is with some broken nori on top. Other ideas: Paprika, Nutritional Yeast Flakes, Maple Butter, Cinnamon, Rosemary & Sea Salt
