281 Acrilica Table Lamp for O-Luce
Italy, 1960s.
A true icon of Italian lighting design, the 281 Acrilica table lamp by Joe Colombo for O-Luce is as much sculpture as it is illumination — a radical gesture of form, function and material.
Crafted from painted metal and a sweeping arc of clear methacrylate, the lamp carries light invisibly through its curved body, diffusing it softly at the edge. A feat of innovation when first released in 1962 — and still, quietly futuristic today.
This piece bears its original label and box — a rare find, and a testament to its provenance.
