T Chair No.3LC
Italy, 1952.
An icon of postwar modernism, the ‘T’ Chair was designed in 1952 by William Katavolos, Ross Littell and Douglas Kelley for Laverne International (later produced by ICF Cadsana, Italy).
This striking chair features a suspended seat of patinated brown leather, supported by a sculptural chrome-plated steel frame and a painted black crossbar. Its minimal, architectural form earned a place in the permanent collection of MoMA, and continues to resonate as a timeless statement of design integrity and innovation.
