‘Utopian dream’ is often followed by ‘society’
– a contradiction in terms.
An alternate universe can only exist as a result of an aesthetic instinct – a singular vision – an individualist. A portal only open to themselves and their inner circle first. A microcosm of symbiotic ideas sounds visions and timelines.
Inspired by the photographic aesthetic and hedonistic culture of the 1960s and 1970, subject matter relates to timeless aesthetics in the fields of architecture, art and design. Forgotten utopias, unsung heroes and cinematic stagings. Embracing natural beauty, the freckles and tan lines that come with it, Mirage creates an idealistic world of the essential and the timeless, which simultaneously educates and provokes.
