ABOUT:

Catherine Dix is a French ceramicist working from her provincial home near Brantôme en Périgord. After receiving formal training in shaping techniques with Thierry Fouquet at Atelier Chemins de Terres, and Augusto Tozzola, Dix began her personal exploration and experimentation into form and texture. Describing her work as "a story of construction, assembly, emptiness and fullness, shadow and light," Dix's pieces echo a sense of balance found in the rough and irregular.
