Monoxyl Stool 02
Senegal, 1950.
Crafted in Senegal in the 1950s, this sculptural piece is an extraordinary example of hand-carved design—cut from a single solid piece of wood and carefully hollowed from within. Finished with a rich, patinated varnish, it carries the depth and character of time.
Two carved handles sit on either side, blending seamlessly into the form and offering ease of movement. Both functional and decorative, it can be used as a low seat or appreciated purely as an object. A piece that holds presence and purpose, shaped by hand and made to endure.
