Mountain Sound Beni M'Guild
This 50 year old vintage Moroccan Beni M'Guild rug is a lovely golden mauve hue with Berber motifs and symbols in navy. These symbols include the lozenge and lozenge grid, which are the most original and most frequently used motifs in Berber carpets, as well as the eight-pointed star which has been know so represent the human figure and female fertility. This handwoven, one-of-a-kind rug is rich in history and will add so much personality and texture to your space.
The Beni M'Guild tribe is from the northern Middle Atlas mountains of Morocco, where only the women weave among the tribe. Their creations are a really wonderful piece of 'folk' art that tell a tale of their lives.
