Lydia Beni M'Guild
This vintage Moroccan Beni M'Guild flatweave rug is approximately 65 years old, and features a gorgeous faded mustard golden tone with soft greens and greys, hints of variegated rust with intricate Berber motifs and lozenge patterns woven throughout with pops of fuschia. The lozenge and lozenge grid are the most original and most frequently used motifs in Berber carpets. The faded patina of colour in this piece can only come with age.
The Beni M'Guild tribe is from the northern Middle Atlas mountains of Morocco and, apart from the Zemmour, are considered very important producers of Moroccan flatweave rugs.
This handwoven, one-of-a-kind rug rich in history is sure to add huge amounts of personality and texture to your space.
