About the designer:
Charlotte Perriand (1903-1999) was a French furniture designer who worked alongside Pierre Jeanneret and Le Corbusier in the 1920-30s, as well as with the Japanese Board of Trade in the 1940s with her later work revealing overtones of the Japanese feeling for form.
