Omnion Boujad Rug
This vintage Moroccan Boujad rug was made in the 60s. It features a lovely muted peachy taupe with hints of soft pink, mauve, chocolates and orange.
This handwoven rug is one-of-a-kind.
Boujad carpets are named after the holy town of 'Budjad' in the Middle Atlas Mountains of Morocco, where the carpets are made from many different tribes. These rugs are the said to be the most mystical of Moroccan rugs, and feature designs that reflect the whim of the weaver.
Boujad rugs are a really wonderful piece of 'folk' art that tell a tale of the lives for the women who make them.
