Mood Forever Boujad Rug
This vintage Moroccan Boujad rug was made in the 1970s. It features a lovely muted purple with mossy taupe and hints of soft pink, teal, chocolates and ivory woven through.
This handwoven rug is one-of-a-kind.
Boujad carpets are named after the holy town of 'Budjad' in the Middle Atlas Mountains of Morocco, where the carpets are made from many different tribes. These rugs are the said to be the most mystical of Moroccan rugs, and feature designs that reflect the whim of the weaver.
Boujad rugs are a really wonderful piece of 'folk' art that tell a tale of the lives for the women who make them.
